We are looking to recruit a Patient Advice and Liaison Service Manager to manage and support our PALS team. PALS support patients and their loved ones, working face to face, in writing and on the telephone to resolve concerns and problems on a daily basis. The new post holder will need to use their management skills in leading the team across all sites of the Trust and will be responsible for the line management of six staff.
On occasions, the post holder may provide the first point of contact for our enquirers who are often worried or upset and need information, advice and support, so it is vital that the post holder can show empathy while remaining calm and professional at all times at the same time as supporting the team and leading them to further success.
Candidates must have knowledge and experience of the NHS and of working in situations where patients and relatives may be unhappy. You will also have a proven track record of leading and motivating a team who at times work in very tense situations.
