Job Description
This is a multi-skilled role in which you will be doing the following:
Dog Handling - This will include:
- Interacting with/handling dogs in a safe manor, as well as looking after dogs safety
- Feeding dogs at lunch time
- Taking dogs for walks
- Keeping the workplace clean and hygienic (disease prevention)
- Helping to assist co-workers with any daily tasks
- Bathing and drying dogs (when required in our grooming salon)
Van Driving - This will include:
- Driving a transit van/combo van, to pick up and drop off dogs
Dog Training - This will include:
- Working alongside our dog trainers to assist with dog training
- Communicating with customers and giving feedback on training
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 12:30 (25 hours per week)
You MUST be available to work the hours/days of the position you are applying for.
JOB CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS (please read)
What we are looking for
You will have strong work ethics, with a desire to work as part of a team.
All required training and support will be provided to you.
You will be given training in animal welfare legislation.
You will be focused on giving excellent client care, by communicating clearly with customers.
You will have a friendly personality and smart appearance, and the desire to deliver first-class customer service.
Working with dogs is labour intensive and will require physically demanding tasks.
We expect our staff to be hardworking, high level of work ethic, trustworthy and have great communication skills.

You MUST have * A valid UK Driving License * (3 years minimum driving experience is required).
You MUST live locally (within Hastings/St Leonards).
You must be willing to learn how to drive transit vans for transportation of dogs. You must also be willing to drive these.
You must have a right to work in UK and a clean criminal history.
Training and Company uniforms will be provided.
Before submitting your interest in this job, please ensure you are willing to do manual handling and labour intensive work as well as provide evidence of a clean driving license that is a driving license with no penalty points.
In return, we will provide all the support we know you need to do your work on time and stress-free. You will also be able to go on fully-funded dog training or behaviour courses after completing your probationary period.
