Our Young Person Resilience Workers play an integral role within Change Grow Live, engaging young people in a range of interventions, using a young person-centred approach, and empowering our young service users to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safe, happy, and healthy lives.
You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Responsibilities:
About the role:

To work closely with service users and partnership agencies, to engage children & young people in a range of interventions, utilising a young person centred approached, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safe, happy, and healthy life.

Providing interventions for young people in the community.
-
Working alongside professionals identifying young people at risk of involvement with the criminal justice system, exploitation, or gang involvement, where there is drug and alcohol use support requirements/early intervention needed.

Providing groups, trainings and assemblies for young people, professionals, and parents/carers.

Delivering high quality tier 2 and tier 3 psychosocial interventions.
About you:
-
Experience of working with young people.
-
Knowledge of issues facing young people today.
-
Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people.
-
Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experiences of working within a related field.
-
Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills.
-
Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
-
Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.

Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users.

Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards.

Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others.
