The Child Psychology Service CIC

Job Description

Would you like to work for a service that makes a difference to children and their families?

One that nurtures and develops the skills, creativity and passion of its staff?

The Child Psychology Service (TCPS) is a small Midlands based Social Enterprise, that has been built with therapeutic principles guiding its structure from the inside out. We foster an ethos of playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy in all that we do. TCPS has built a strong reputation of effectiveness and compassion as demonstrated by what our clients and commissioners say about us (see our website) and our Outstanding Ofsted status (http://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/inspection-reports/find-inspection-report/provider/CARE/SC470742).

We have recently opened two office bases in Bloxwich (Walsall) and Shepshed (Loughborough) and are looking for an enthusiastic Band 4 Assistant Psychologist (full-time, fixed term post for 12 months) to split their time between these two teams to help us deliver our high-quality clinical services.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and writing skills and will be supporting our clinical team to undertake specialist assessments by liaising with families and professionals, contributing to reports, scoring psychometric measures, analysing outcomes and undertaking observations. They will also be responsible for updating and maintaining our outcomes database. The exact scope of the role may develop in response to service need and so there may also be opportunities to co-facilitate groups and training, help with service development projects and develop resources and training packages. Supervision from a Clinical Psychologist will be provided. You will be required to split your time between our two bases and some limited home working is also possible.

Pre-application enquiries are very welcome. Please contact Dr. Adele Freeman, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead or Claire Bennison, Office Manager via enquiries@thechildpsychologyservice.co.uk or 01283 840051.
