Job description

The role offers exciting opportunity to promote and deliver the responsible ingestion of information across multiple digital systems, supporting tax compliance activity and improving customer services through the delivery of ‘bulk’ UK-based data acquisitions.
This role is integral to the team responsible for ensuring the UK Government meets data gathering targets and will lead outreach and awareness activities with IT partners and stakeholders to resolve data ingestion issues.

Person specification

Responsibilities:


  • Assessment and remediation of large and small complex data sets prior to data ingestion deadlines
  • Interpretation of legislative data gathering powers
  • Perform specialist data cleansing and formatting
  • Create comprehensive data reports for colleagues, stakeholders, IT partners and external customers and attend meetings to take forward data processing issues
  • Work with colleagues to deliver digital solutions to existing manual processes and deliver ad-hoc training/mentoring as required
  • Actively engage in problem solving to meet multiple deadlines

  • Ability to manipulate CSV,XML,TEXT and EXCEL files
  • Data scripting experience

Selection process details
