Job summary

Do you have a passion for Community Nursing? Are you interested in trying something new? No previous Community experience required.

If you are looking for hours to fit around your family; we can tailor our offering to you. This could be working school hours, weekends only, condensed hours or maybe it's just keeping your interest in nursing by working one shift a week. All we ask for is that you provide the very best care to our Patients and work with our Teams to ensure patient safety and compliance.

We are looking for a Nursing Associate who wishes to work independently under the leadership of Registered Nurses whilst developing their career. Confident decision maker and able to develop this new role in partnership with the wider team. Welcoming applications from qualified Nursing Associates who hold a UK PIN number, knowledge of nursing across a range of specialties and can demonstrate compassion and commitment to improving lives of Solihull residents.

The Trust has supported and continues to support a large number of trainees and we fully understand the role you have been prepared to fulfill. You will access our comprehensive induction programme led by our Quality Improvement Lead and be able to join our Preceptorship programme within the Trust.

We want you to feel a sense of belonging, community, commitment and support.

There is the scope for further development into a Registered Nurse post through our top up course offered through the trust.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

The role involves delivering skilled and providing evidence-based care to patients within their home environment who can have very complex needs. Our District Nursing teams work closely with specialist nurses, GPs, Therapists and Social Work teams in providing and facilitating collaborative support and care to patients and their families and in preventing avoidable hospital admissions.

The individuals we are looking for will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative and have the ability to embrace the challenges of the changing and growing demands of the primary care setting.

Previous community experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided to the right candidates.

You will need to be able to meet the needs of this service by being available to work flexibly between the hours of 07:00 to 23:00 hours on a rota basis over a 7 day period and be able to drive. We do accept flexible working requests.

We have full & part time posts available.

Harry Moore, District Nurse Team Lead (Shirley Team) 07920 535925
