What is the role?
We are an exceptional brand and we are looking for someone remarkable to join our Ecommerce team in the role of Digital Marketing Manager. This exciting hands-on role will help to deliver ambitious growth plans for the business with the key focus on customer recruitment and retention in the digital marketing space.
Leading a team of digital marketing professionals, this role will have accountability for the digital channels that we operate in. Responsible for the delivery of performance against those channels and seeking out new areas of opportunity for our brand to drive growth. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in digital marketing and an omnichannel approach, excellent measurement and reporting skills and a sound technical knowledge.
Main Duties & Overall Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic growth and retention across core digital marketing channels, including (but not exclusively) Paid Media, Paid Social, Programmatic Display, Email and Affiliates.
- Develop the digital channels to deliver an effective full funnel approach. Nurture and retain existing customers while also driving awareness and sales with potential prospects.
- Have a solid understanding of key channel KPIs and be able to use these to benchmark progress, making recommendations for constant improvement across all sales channels.
- Work with the wider marketing team to develop exciting and robust campaign activation plans for upcoming product releases and promotions. Ensure there is an integrated approach across all channels to deliver strong results.
- Work with our agency partners to create digital media plans to drive brand awareness and engagement.
- Work with the Head of Ecommerce to set and manage the digital marketing budget.
- Delivery monitoring and reporting across channel and campaign performance, taking into consideration ROI, ROAS, Reach, Impressions and Engagement. Work with agency partners to provide in-depth reporting including attribution analysis, to truly understand the impact of the channel activity on the wider marketing mix.
- Grow the brand’s digital footprint in the Social Ad space, expanding activity into newly emerging channels with tailored, targeted engaging content. Work closely with the Social Media team to ensure synergy across the Paid and Native activity.
- Work closely with the internal creative and brand teams to ensure a strong delivery of the brand across all digital channel touchpoints.
- Work with the Head of Ecommerce to develop and execute a robust Digital Marketing strategy, looking at how to support in the growth of Ecommerce within the business.
- Assist with day-to-day stakeholder management of 3rdparty support agencies such as Flaunt Digital, Bloomreach and AWIN.
- Manage and report on daily/weekly/monthly/annual trade, providing detailed analysis of key drivers and produce actions plans to ensure targets are met.
- Work closely with the Ecommerce Manager to ensure we are effectively managing the full end-to-end customer journey.
Technical knowledge required:
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience managing digital marketing channels, ideally in the retail sector.
- Strong commercial acumen and trade experience.
- Experience of digital platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, Magento, Bloomreach or similar.
- Ability to adapt to new technology and work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver results.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Able to fully utilise the relevant IT support systems, and to be conversant with standard business desktop applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good understanding of GDPR.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with senior managers.
