We are looking to appoint two Research Assistants to join the Oxford Precision Psychiatry Lab (OxPPL). Led by Professor Andrea Cipriani OxPPL is an international multidisciplinary group of researchers, clinicians (both psychiatrists and psychologists), statisticians and methodologists who are passionate about improving the lives of people with mental illness across the lifespan. The posts are based in the Department of Psychiatry and are full time, however consideration would be given to candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 80% FTE) on a pro-rata basis.
The posts are for a fixed term (funded to 31 January 2026).
You will be working on a Wellcome funded project, as part of a team conducting an evidence synthesis program of living systematic reviews about early phase studies in depression, anxiety and psychosis. You will follow a rigorous and systematic process throughout all the key steps of living evidence synthesis (reference/paper selection, data extraction, critical appraisal).
You will have an undergraduate degree (2:1 or 1st) in a relevant area (medical sciences, biomedical science, experimental psychology), along with expertise in evidence synthesis projects, especially regarding the record selection process and data extraction for qualitative and quantitative outcomes, and expertise in assessing the risk of bias in relevant studies. Prior experience with large (international) evidence synthesis projects of human and non-human studies would be desirable as would fluency in a non-English language.
You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement and a CV as part of your application
The closing date for this post is 12.00 midday on 30th June 2023.
