We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious, and inspirational colleague to join our successful Bridge Street School team.
This post is integral to our school and plays an important role in enhancing the opportunities for young people. This post would suit a passionate and motivated colleague who is experienced in working successfully with pupils and looking forward to working with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs to ensure their success.
As a Language Acquisition Teacher, you will teach students from years 7, 8, 9 and 10; therefore a ‘stage not age’ class. The specific needs of the students are, but are not limited to:
- Acquisition of language skills
- Bridging of gaps in academic knowledge
- Increasing overall engagement in education
- Development of life skills required to ensure ongoing success in chosen post 16 provisions and life beyond school.
- Development of a wider understanding of communities and cultures outside their own
Students will receive an educational diet that includes the National Curriculum core subjects (Maths, English, Science, ICT, PSHE) along with specific, focussed interventions designed to address the needs outlined above.
