The role
Right, so what about the job? We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Manager who will have full oversight and responsibility for everything from setting the overall marketing strategy to creating valuable and appealing content to attract and convert our target audience (and everything in between!).
This hands-on role is perfect for someone looking to step up into a more senior marketing position.
So, what might I be doing on a day-to-day basis?
- Working with the executive team, such as the CEO or other Heads of Department, to set the marketing strategy for the business.
- Building brand awareness and positioning.
- Generating fresh marketing initiatives and strategies and pitching them to the leadership team.
- Developing a social media strategy using all relevant platforms to reach our target audience.
- Overseeing all marketing campaigns.
- Tracking effectiveness of marketing campaigns and reporting findings to the CEO and other Heads of Department.
- Creating valuable and compelling copy and content that attracts and converts our target groups.
- Managing and implementing the product marketing strategy – raising awareness of new product features to new and existing customers.
- Managing the design and production of promotional materials, such as websites and brochures.
- Overseeing the company’s attendance at events, such as trade shows, conferences, and festivals.
- Developing and looking after the budget and delivering a return on investment.
- Recruitment and management of the marketing team that might include PR and creative staff.
- Negotiating and liaising with third-party marketing agencies.
- Developing strategic relationships and partnering with key industry players, agencies and vendors.
The specific skills we’re looking for are:
- 2+ years’ experience in a marketing role.
- A proactive individual who loves problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills and happy to work with the whole team.
- Strong written skills and a passion for creating compelling content.
- Super project management skills and a confident multi-tasker.
- Experience analysing and reporting on marketing performance and budgets.
- Experience managing events and tradeshows.
- Experience with working with and managing third-party suppliers.
