An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Student Services Administration Team in the role of a full time HR & Business Operations Administrator.
The HR & Finance team undertakes all HR and Finance administration for Student Services. In this faced paced and demanding role, you will be required to:
- Process recruitment campaigns from initial approval and organisation of interviews through to contract requests and onboarding administration.
- Complete Right to Works checks in accordance with HMRC.
- Verify DBS checks as and when required in the service.
- Administrate the recruitment of bought-in teachers and ensure that necessary checks are carried out.
- Assist and support managers with inductions into Student Services.
- Record absence via the University’s iTrent database.
- Assist with booking, preparation and running of training and development activities.
- Make travel and accommodation bookings.
- Process hospitality requests/Pay claims and overtime payments for service staff.
- Raise purchase orders for the purchase of goods and services over a broad range of Service requirements.
- Ensure supplier invoices are provided in accordance with financial procedures and manage payments to suppliers.
- Maintain appropriate financial records for audit purposes and comply with end-of-year accounting deadlines.
- Process stationery orders and stock maintenance requests.
- Process the DSA timesheets on a termly basis, ensuring income is received in the correct quarter.
The HR & Business Operations Administrator will be one of a team of 5 supporting all sections within Student Services. This post will work closely with the First Contact Team and Service Managers to ensure an excellent service is delivered for students, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and communicate well within a team. Significant experience of working in a busy office environment carrying out HR and Finance-related work, a commitment to excellent customer service and standards is a must. You will be able to work under pressure to tight timescales and possess excellent IT skills, good written and spoken communication, and have an enthusiastic, professional, and courteous approach.
