Our Aylesford site are now recruiting for a Warehouse Compliance Supervisor on a full time, permanent basis.
Salary: £39,075 per annum
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 16:00
Job Description
The purpose of a Warehouse Compliance Supervisor is to work alongside and coach/develop site colleagues to implement safety, health, environmental, quality and compliance policies, procedures and paperwork.
You will be able to work independently or as part of a team and will be accountable for ensuring that our safety and quality standards and procedures align with organisational best practice. You will also be responsible for establishing performance standards, procedures, training and coaching and audit controls to enable us to meet business requirements.
Key Duties of a Warehouse Compliance Supervisor:

Ensure that all requirements for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and compliance policies and standards are met by delivering effective induction and refresher training to new and existing site colleagues

Brief and coach site teams on updated or new ways of working, standards, how to guides, risk assessments, safe systems of work and SHEQ alerts

Deliver and co-ordinate all Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Compliance Standard related events/updates to new and existing colleagues

Undertake regular BRC Auditing, to ensure attainment of site BRC accreditation, following up on BRC non-conformance with supervisors and shift managers and providing feedback to Warehouse Manager

Ensure Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Allergen procedures and standards are complied with on site

Completion of site audits to ensure site assurance and risk reduction requirements

Ensure Fire Safety Standards, tests and drill requirements and Fire Risk Assessment Report actions are completed
-
Undertake and manage regular review of site risk assessments, safe systems of work, method statements and contractor permits to work
-
Identify and review compliance key performance indicators and suggest improvements and efficiencies to better meet business/legal requirements

Manage all site facility and maintenance contractor requirements

Manage all site compliance document control requirements, corrective and preventative actions and trend analysis

Undertake all site accident investigation requirements for PI and or Vehicle Collisions, determining appropriate follow up actions, devising and delivering training

Maintain training records for all colleagues

Maintain MHE files
-
Line Manager responsibility for Warehouse Trainer, Site Services Operative and Hygiene Operatives

Qualifications

BRCGS (BRC) Audit experience
-
HACCP Level 2 or above

Internal Auditing qualification

Site Facilities / Maintenance management

Internal Auditing
-
Strong knowledge in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) management

Able to interpret and apply safety legislation and policy
-
Accident (PI and Collision) Investigation

Experience of risk management

Experience of conducting risk assessments and audits

Effective communicator

Flexible, enthusiastic, and positive approach

Able to deliver effective presentations and training courses

Excellent PC literacy skills, including Microsoft office applications

Coaching, mentoring and development of new and existing colleagues

Knowledge of Storage & Distribution BRC accreditation requirements

Exposure to and understanding of implementation of HACCP

A sound working knowledge of company processes and standards within the business and demonstration of practical application

Up to date knowledge of relevant industry legislation and standards

Organisational skills to ensure consistent audit reporting within required deadlines

Ability to balance legislative compliance with best practice
