About the role:
- Based in Pool RTS
- Monday - Friday, covering Saturdays as part of the rota
- Primarily covering Weighbridge but will be trained in all areas to cover Holidays and Sickness
What will I be doing?
This role is an ideal opportunity to learn about the recovery and recycling of household waste. This role is primarily to provide cover for holidays/ training days and emergency. - Maintaining accurate records for the removal of material from the site and of all the activities undertaken on the site.
- Controlling the exchange of containers, by booking loads with the relevant persons thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
- Maintaining a tidy and safe site.
- Ensuring that within your areas of responsibility, SUEZ R & R complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions
- Co-operating with SUEZ R & R and with other employees in order to comply with site permit and all applicable legislation which complies with SUEZ R & R Policies and Procedures.
- To undertake first aider duties and fire warden duties on site.
- Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role
What are the requirements?
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the site licence / permit and who will work to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.
- A flexible approach to work will be advantageous, as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
- The successful applicant will be required to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, operation and maintenance of site equipment.
- Having basic administration skills for the recording of data on SUEZ R & R UK’s reporting systems will also be advantageous.
