We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Equestrian Shop Assistant to join our team at Saddle Up and Ride, a reputable and thriving equestrian shop.
Job Description: As an Equestrian Shop Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, providing excellent customer service and support in our equestrian retail environment. Your role will involve interacting with customers, understanding their requirements, and assisting them in finding the right products. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting customers and providing them with a warm welcome upon entering the shop.
- Assisting customers in selecting appropriate equestrian products, including riding apparel, equipment, and accessories.
- Providing detailed product information, including features, benefits, and sizing guidelines, to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintaining a clean and organised shop floor, ensuring merchandise is attractively displayed and regularly restocked.
- Processing transactions accurately, and handling cash and card payments.
- Responding to customer enquiries, resolving any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and new product releases to provide valuable insights to customers.
- Collaborating with the team to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the shop.
- Assisting with inventory management, including receiving, unpacking, and organising deliveries.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Genuine passion for the equestrian world
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Strong product knowledge of equestrian equipment, clothing, and accessories.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure the shop is clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as required.
- Salary dependent on experience
