The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Policy and External Reporting team aim for at least 1 day a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings. The role could be based at either our Bracknell or Victoria campus based on your preference.
The salary range for this role is set at £46,600 - £69,300.
This position is a permanent contract.
About the role
The Policy and External Reporting team are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our team. We are a small but specialist team, working together collaboratively with the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of external reporting and policy setting, interacting with colleagues across the Partnership and getting involved in loads of different things across the business.
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will mainly be responsible for the completion of JLP’s external reporting - including working on reporting for the Partnership Board, Audit and Risk Committee and of preparation of half year and year end statements. The team is also involved in ethics and sustainability, reporting financial performance to Partners and setting accounting policy, working across the Finance function and beyond.
You will maintain robust quality control, as well as manage processes for preparation and review of legal entity statutory accounts.
In addition, you will support the completion of complex, non trading accounting judgements (Pensions, Long Leave, Going Concern, Exceptionals, Impairment). You will be involved in the delivery of improvements to processes and levels of trust and accuracy in the numbers where relevant, and contribute to the design of accounting processes for new / changing propositions and statutory reporting changes for complex accounting.
We are looking for someone interested in external financial reporting, explaining performance to Partners, with strong attention to detail and also someone who is comfortable interacting with stakeholders outside of Finance and our auditors.
Essential skills you’ll need
Qualified or well advanced through an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent) or equivalent experience
Excellent attention to detail
Interest in accounting, financial reporting
Desirable
External reporting knowledge would be an advantage, including familiarity with IFRS
Experience of Oracle financial systems, Oracle projects and Fixed Asset Modules would also be an advantage
