This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to kick start a career in Finance/Accounting within the growing aerospace/defence sector! As Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the business activities principally on Financial Control.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting accounts payable team in solving purchase ledger activities.
Assisting in the month end process and reconciliations to support management accounts.
Monitoring and reporting of Capital expenditures.
Monitoring and posting of Journals.
Ensuring project bookings and timesheet transaction monitoring and corrections.
Assisting with audit requests when required.
Assist with VAT returns.
Consolidation of data and numbers.
Develop and maintain internal relationships with colleagues.
Ad hoc tasks as they arise.

Some prior use of excel is advantageous.
Ability to work autonomously and a keen team player, energetic self-starter with a proactive and challenging approach.
A can-do attitude with desire to follow through to completion.
Experience of working within a finance function and understanding of purchase ledger.
Knowledge of the French Language (beneficial but not required)
GCSE + A level equivalent or higher.
