Digital Client Director - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract
This role is a maternity leave cover to help us grow our mid-size digital clients as well as ownership of an agency patch with the ambition of identifying strategic partners to pursue for eventual spend partnerships.
Nectar360’s vision is to be the most powerful insight and data-led media services agency in the country, creating valuable relationships between the UK’s favourite brands and their customers to help them live well for less. Digital is a key and growing part of the Nectar360 business, receiving substantial investment to develop and take to market a digital media buying platform – The Digital Trading Platform (DTP) and Ecommerce Media Platform (EMP).
Through its powerful data assets Nectar360 is able to target and measure display, social and TV campaigns. This capability is hugely sought-after by Nectar360 and FMCG clients.
You will be working in one of the fastest growing and dynamic areas of the business, supporting us in driving significant revenue growth from the Digital Trading Platform and Ecommerce Media Platform.
This role requires strategic development of long-term digital relationships across stakeholders in multiple businesses, whilst also influencing internal Nectar360 teams and the Sainsbury’s business.
Reporting into the Digital Commercial Director, with 1 direct report (role currently vacant).
Strategic Leadership
What you need to do
Accountable for the management and delivery of our mid-size digital media clients and campaigns for the DTP & EMP as well as end to end ownership of an agency patch.
Being the point person between our Agency Sales Team and our inhouse Client Services Team, to allow for joined up planning.
Work cross functionally across a matrix organisation, influencing stakeholders across analytics, digital trading, planning, the wider digital team and client services.
Ensure that the digital proposition is market leading, both in terms of customer service and technology, listening to client’s needs and requirements, and reporting back to the DCD.
Train and upskill Nectar360 colleagues & clients on the DTP & EMP.
Commercial Leadership
Accountable for contributing to and growing significant revenue for DTP & EMP.
Accountable for financial accuracy for all client direct DTP activity working with the CS team.
Manage billing errors with the finance team which will tracked on a periodic basis.
Long term planning focused on commercial growth, continuously evolving and seeking to grow your revenue target, identify opportunity, risks and assisting with directing the team to execute against the plan.
Relationship Management
Build a strong and collaborative way of working with peers across Nectar360 and the wider Sainsbury’s team (and supporting agencies), to positively develop the culture of both the Client Services team, the Digital Team and the broader business.
Build a strong and collaborative working relationship with senior level external contacts to embed Nectar360 as a leader within the digital space.
Use these strong relationships and your highly specialised knowledge of digital to influence and inspire commitment and investment from clients into the DTP & EMP.
What You Need To Know
Experience of managing digital media and advertising revenue.
Ability to manage multiple campaigns and clients at once.
Good stakeholder management skills.
Experience working in a fast moving and pressured environment.
Strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
What You Need To Show
Good and broad knowledge of the Digital Media industry including Media buying and Evaluations (programmatic and direct buying, DMPs and media evaluation).
Strong analytical, interpersonal and influencing skills, together with independence of thought and the ability to work independently.
You will need excellent verbal and written communication to promote the opportunity with internal and external stakeholders.
Understanding of, or experience of working with, FMCG and Retail clients would be advantageous.
Everything will need to be delivered with integrity and you will need to take the accountability for the delivery of results in a matrix organisation.
