AWS Infrastructure Engineer
Hybrid - working from home with visits to our Manchester office 2/3 times per month
£50,000 per annum + bonus + benefits

We're looking for people who are agile, full of ideas and want to challenge the norm. As a AWS Infrastructure Engineer you will be working within in a small team of cloud infrastructure engineers making use of infrastructure as code to build internal platforms and end user computing services.
Key Responsibilities
- Help to secure and monitor our AWS and SaaS environments
- Ensure our staff have access to the best SaaS tools available when working at home or in the office
- Build internal platforms and capabilities using infrastructure as code
- Developing automated pipelines to deploy and configure AWS and other cloud environments
- Developing a serverless platform in AWS with tools and guardrails to deliver a frictionless developer experience
- Implementing best in breed build, test, deployment and monitoring processes
- Continually identifying areas for improvement through automation, documentation, process or working methods
- Pushing the boundaries, questioning the status quo, ensuring what we are doing and what we are building is the very best it can be
Key Skills
- Experience in setting up AWS environments as a platform for development teams to build on
- Experience of working with infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation, CDK or Terraform
- Experience in software development tools and techniques such as OO programming, branching strategies, GitHub
- Passionate about DevOps tools and the value they can add to traditional IT
- Have a good understanding of automation techniques and best practices
- Experience with any of the following a bonus:
- Sftware engineering using TypeScript or JavaScript
- An AWS assciate or professional level certification
- Wrking in a range of IT roles such as networking, firewall configuration or directory management
- Setting up Datadg or GitHub environments
- Understand the importance of driving quality into code through test automation
