Support Worker (Drug & Alcohol).
Newport & Cardiff.
£12.90 – £14.00 per hour.
8 hour shifts, weekend cover
12 hour shifts weekdays
We are assisting our client who has projects within the Cardiff and Newport areas with their ongoing temporary requirements at their homeless centres. They have urgent requirements for Support Workers who have experience of working with homeless and drug and alcohol.
If you are passionate and dedicated, have experience of housing support, assist with completing housing claims, recovery support to residents and be able to provide a safe environment to encourage positive behaviour change.
Experienced in risk assessment, assisting with budgeting, and general living skills support. You will be assisting residents to achieve their individual goals and create move on plans suited to their needs.
A clear understanding of confidentiality and boundaries.
An understanding of the harmful effects associated with drug and alcohol misuse and offending in relation to health, social welfare, housing, employability, and personal relationships.
Substance Misuse: 1 year (preferred)
Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)
