Animal Care Technician
Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Salary: £20,749 (Professional Services Grade 4)

About the role
Do you have a passion within animal care and welfare? We are looking for someone to maintain our range of animals and facilities at the Lackham Animal Resource Centre and to guide and support students.
Our animals are fundamental to our teaching quality and to our student progression; and you as a successful technician can be a part of that journey.
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience within an educational environment, with further training available we can support your career progression.
About you
You will be pro-active, passionate and motived to support our animal care provision, helping our learners achieve by assisting our lecturers and preparing the workplace. The successful candidate will have recent relevant experience of the animal care industry and hold good knowledge of animal care and welfare.
The successful candidate will be passionate, confident and have industry experience working with a range of animals, working to high industry standards to meet animal welfare needs.

- GCSE Garde 4 or above in English and Maths.
- Level 3 Animal Management Qualification or equivalent.
- Industry experience working with a wide range of animals, such as small mammals, reptiles, primates, and hoof stock etc.
