The Junior ICT Technician will join a small team that supports the delivery of ICT Services across the organisation. This hands-on role will involve excellent customer services skills, providing full support and maintenance of the ICT infrastructure. The focus of the role is user facing but will include some server and telephony support. Working with the Business Systems Manager and ICT Technician you will provide hardware and software support on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the organisation has up to date, secure, and reliable IT systems and network.
The Junior ICT Technician is a full-time role (37 hours per week), 52 weeks of the year. We are happy to discuss a flexible working pattern with the successful applicant.
You will be good with both people and computers. You will have an abundance of patience as you will often be helping somebody who is speaking on behalf of someone else. You will need to be able to identify problems quickly and have an eye for detail. You must have a flexible approach to your work, with the ability to move from one task to another quickly. You will have good diagnostic skills and happy to make reasoned decisions to resolve issues.
To be successful in the role you will need good IT skills. These are like to be gained through a good IT education with practical experience, or from experience in a similar role.
