Your role
Are you an experienced Product Controller, with a detailed knowledge of Fixed Income and/or Equities markets and products?
Are you a financial reporting expert with excellent analytical skills?
Could you act as the single point of contact to the Front Office on all aspects of Finance processes and controls?
Do you have experience of working with business and IT stakeholders on system implementations and migrations?
We're looking for a Product Controller to:
- act as the primary contact for to the traders and COOs on all matters relating to P&L and Balance Sheet
- be a valued partner to the Front Office and develop an in-depth understanding of the sector, its risk profile, key positions, market movements and regulations
- provide onshore supervision of the controlling team in India, including daily review of controls checklists and reporting sent to the desk
- review & challenge T0 P&L, focus on improving quality, accuracy, and completeness, and be responsible for delivery of timely, complete and accurate T+1 P&L with high quality commentary
- manage timely closure of unsubstantiated balances & review adjustments daily, and review sector level VAR back testing results as well as Loss Advisory Control Exceptions
- proactively identify, review and escalate Operational Risk Issues
Your team
You'll be working in the Global Markets Product Control team in London. Our team controls and reports the daily P&L and Balance Sheet at the product level, business partnering with the trading desks and other key control functions. We execute financial controls, provide insightful analytical review and validate the financial statements and disclosures for our aligned businesses.

Your expertise
- product knowledge including but not limited to bonds, equities and interest rate, FX, equity and credit derivatives
- good knowledge of Accounting, Financial Markets, Revenue & Financial resource drivers.
- innovation skills, in particular knowledge of automation applications such as Alteryx and /or Power BI.
- experience with matrix reporting and working with teams in global locations
- strong analytical, project management and interpersonal skills
