Accounts Payable Assistant
Part Time (21 hrs - 3 days per week, flexible working will be considered)
£25,000 (pro-rated to £15000) + benefits (including 25 days annual leave, pension)

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Accounts Payable Assistant to work closely with the Finance Manager, to maintain an efficient and accurate finance function within Rainbow Trust.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for accurately processing financial documents onto the finance and payroll systems to ensure accounting records and controls are correct; maintaining the finance email inboxes; and processing payroll changes, purchase orders, supplier invoices, sales invoices and staff expenses. This role is integral to the smooth running of the Finance department, with responsibility for providing a comprehensive and efficient service and works across the whole organisation.

What we’re looking for:
· Competent in processing financial data – Applications will be particularly welcome from those who have experience of working in a finance or HR department, processing supplier invoices, using Sage 50, or processing payroll changes
· A co-operative and helpful working style– you are able to work well with others, and offer a responsive and friendly service to all stakeholders
· Attention to detail and consistent – you have excellent attention to detail, even with repetitive work, producing accurate work whilst following, established guidelines, policies and procedures
· A proactive approach - you will be a self-starter who thrives on prioritising work to meet month-end deadlines and use your initiative to add value to the team
· Confident use of MSOffice and experience of using a finance or HR database – you are comfortable working with data, and produce high quality accurate work
· Applications will be particularly welcome from those who are educated to A level or equivalent, and have an AAT qualification or working towards the qualification.
