We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Derivatives Analyst


The primary purpose will be to provide Derivative support across all Investment Operations Middle Office Clients. Encompassing key processes and controls across a variety of Derivative products from Exchange Traded Futures and Options to OTC Derivatives and Contract for Difference products.


In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • The responsibilities of this role will include trade matching and margin management for ETD products, as well as dealing with client and broker queries in a professional and timely manner. OTC Derivatives duties include trade confirmation, lifecycle event management and analysis of complex data exceptions. Margin management on ETD positions.
  • Be an engaging point of contact for clients, brokers, custodians and other third parties.
  • Take ownership of tasks/issues and ensure these are all followed through to completion.
  • Assist with the implementation of client change requests including, but not limited to, on-boarding new funds, custody, transfers and trading of new ETD and OTC products.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of all reconciliation items, providing clear, concise and relevant documentation to support outstanding items
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following

  • Understanding of Derivatives products (ETD and OTC) within the Investment Bank/ Fund Services Industry.
  • A self-starter is essential, who is comfortable with the unknown and who is curious to learn.
  • Track record of working accurately within tight timescales with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for internal / external interaction, understanding the need to influence and secure buy-in from sometimes disparate stakeholders.
  • Proven analytical skills with the ability to offer solutions to complex problems.
  • University Degree is preferred. CISI qualifications are desirable.


The base location for this role is Edinburgh
