The Saeys Lab is known for its innovative work in bioinformatics and computational biology, including the analysis of cytometry and single-cell transcriptomics data, cell-cell communication inference and spatial omics.As a key member of our team, you will:Implement and further develop NicheNet, our advanced cell-cell communication tool, in Python.Enhance the interoperability of NicheNet with various other tools used for single-cell RNA-seq data analysis and cell-cell communication inference.Contribute to the development of bioinformatics software, driving forward our research capabilities.ProfileEssentialYou obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Informatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related fieldProficient in PythonStrong communication skills in EnglishDesirable but not requiredPreference will be given to candidates with experience withprogramming in Rexperience or interest in single-cell RNA-seq data analysis and cell-cell communication.Key personal characteristicsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamLifelancer ( ) is a talent-hiring platform in Life Sciences, Pharma and IT.
