Salary: £41,496 per annum rising to £43,516 per annum on first year of anniversary – pro rata for part time (subject to satisfactory completion of probation period)
Working Hours & Contract: Fixed term until March 2025 – Full time (Flexible and Hybrid working included)

We are pleased to announce we have a fantastic opportunity for a Supported Accommodation Review Team Leader.

The Supported Accommodation Review Team Leader will initiate lead, manage and develop a professional multi-disciplinary team to champion and influence good quality support and accommodation standards primarily within the non-commissioned supported accommodation sector, to deliver demonstrable improvements to the health and well-being of residents in Nottingham.
This is a senior role which will require reporting to senior managers, Executive Councillors and to Government representatives. The post holder will require a high level of awareness and sensitivity about working in a political environment.
The nature of this post requires a high level of knowledge and skill in planning, communication and influencing as well as technical expertise in order to provide advice and guidance to other Council Services/ Partners regarding the supported accommodation sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team to monitor, review, implement, improve and where applicable promote the benefits of good quality housing and support standards within the supported housing accommodation sector in the city, whilst working to foster strong working relations with multiple stakeholders.
This post has been created in response to the Government’s Supported Housing Improvement Programme focussing on non-commissioned supported accommodation. Therefore the post holder will be an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team working within the Revenue and Benefits division of the Council. Liaising and working closely with other public, private and voluntary sector bodies and colleagues across the Council will be crucial, inclusive of close liaison with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities.
Essential Criteria:
· Knowledge of current housing issues and policies at a level to enable the development of policy responses in relation to the Supported Accommodation sector
· Project management experience and the implementation of housing – related projects
· A sound knowledge of the legislation to the Council tax recovery or housing & council tax benefit administration
· Good financial management skills and the ability to manage and meet budgetary targets
· A knowledge of technologies used within the housing benefit, revenue collection, and contact centre environment: particularly imaging systems, workflow, NEC Revenues & Benefits and CRM technology
· Experience of engaging and negotiating with partners and stakeholders
