The role also encompasses general gardening tasks to maintain the external environment.Key Responsibilities:You will be an important member of the Asset Management team in the Property Department in:Coordinate and maintain department/team management systems, ensuring consistent and regular input of relevant information.Conduct specialized studies as needed to gain insights into department/team and organizational operations.Ensure individual staff members actively promote workplace safety in accordance with Uniting's policies and comply with WH&S legislation, policies, and procedures.As the Maintenance Officer, your role specifically will:Ensure care and accommodation services are provided in a safe, sustainable, and homelike environment by promptly handling planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.Ensure all maintenance work complies with corporate standards and WHS regulations.Receive daily work requests for designated facilities and services using the CMMS.Perform building/property maintenance promptly as required, including routine, planned, and reactive tasks.Tasks may include replacing light globes, unblocking toilets and drains, changing tap washers, moving furniture, painting, waste disposal, and general external cleaning.Undertake general gardening duties such as mowing, pruning, mulching, weeding, fertilizing, and landscaping.Ensure all contractors attending sites have undergone appropriate site induction and adhere to safety protocols.Notify managers or their staff of any maintenance work that may affect service areas.Qualifications and ExperienceTrade qualification in a maintenance discipline or equivalent proven experience.Driver's License.Knowledge and understanding of legislation that relates to buildings, workplace health and safety.Detailed knowledge on the application and use of CMMS desirable.Demonstrated ability to maintain buildings and equipment to be compliant with legislation and/or corporate standards.Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.Understanding of obligations of contractors.Computer skills.Even better:Demonstrated experience in a maintenance role desirable, and a proven track record in gardening.To review the role responsibilities in greater detail please review the comprehensive Position Description by clicking on the link )How to apply: Send your CV and a brief cover letter highlighting why this role appeals to you - Applications reviewed upon receipt.For all enquiries, please contact Dina Oraha via emailUniting is a Child Safe Organisation committed to promoting the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of children and young people.
