Job summary

Are you a Band 6 Physiotherapist looking for an exciting new role, working alongside the military, that offers numerous benefits and opportunities? This position is based at Bulford Healthcare Facility, Salisbury Wiltshire.

We are an inclusive and dedicated organisation working to provide excellent care to our hardworking service personnel. Our chosen candidate will be delivering a high standard of physiotherapy to Service personnel, including highly specialist interventions in the muscular-skeletal/sports and training injury environment.

You will be adept in providing a positive caring environment, in which patients can expect a high quality professional service.

This position is offered at 37.5 hours per week and requests to work flexibly will be considered, taking into account business needs. Please note the salary will be pro-rata for part time hours undertaken.

Job description

Our chosen candidate will be giving full support to the Line Manager in ensuring the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This will include undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in the musculo-skeletal/sports and training injury area including group therapy.

Person specification

Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Formulating, developing and delivering a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon evidence based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.
  • Working closely with other rehabilitation professionals including military Exercise Rehabilitation Instructors to provide tailored physical rehabilitation programs, including group therapy sessions.
  • Assisting in the development of junior Specialist Physiotherapists and Exercise Rehabilitation professionals, offering advice and help with more complex conditions.
  • Performing highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by the Medical Officer or regional physiotherapy teams . Presentations may be diverse including complex and acute / chronic physical and psychological conditions plus sports injuries. To use clinical reasoning skills to provide accurate clinical diagnosis

Qualifications

Degree in Physiotherapy plus additional specialist training or experience to post graduate diploma level or equivalent

Memberships

Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP)
State Registered Physiotherapist Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
