After Hours Supervisor to join our team on a permanent part-time basis!About the RoleA unique opportunity to join the experienced and supportive team at Nowra Private Hospital as an After-Hours Hospital Supervisor.In this key leadership position, you are accountable for efficient and effective operational management of the team to ensure safe patient care and outstanding quality patient outcomes.The Afterhours Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing afternoon and night shifts during the week, as well as 12-hour day and night shifts on weekends. Key responsibilities include providing assistance and escalating care as needed, offering support and leadership to hospital staff, managing workforce requirements, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders after hours.Your Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will be a positive and effective leader with the ability to motivate others. You will bring extensive clinical skills and experience along with exceptional interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage your time effectively to complete allocated tasks.You will also bring;Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered NurseMinimum 5 years postgraduate experience.Surgical or Critical Care experience desirable.Proficient in ALS essential.Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practiceSound Computer skills in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Post grad studies are not necessary but highly regardedKey ResponsibilitiesManaging and planning workforce requirements and work hoursOpen, succinct, and articulate communication to foster positive relationships with all staff and stakeholdersServing as a positive role model and cultivating a blame-free, forward-thinking cultureDeveloping and maintaining effective relationships with Visiting Medical Officers and key stakeholdersProviding support in problem-solving and acting as a senior clinical resource for all hospital staffThis role presents an excellent opportunity for those seeking to make a positive impact within our hospital's leadership team and contribute to the ongoing delivery of outstanding patient care.What's in it for you?Professional Advancement: Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs.
