We have a challenging but rewarding fixed term temporary full-time opportunity for you to join our Strategic Communications Branch based in Brisbane CBD!Job details Position status Fixed Term TemporaryPosition type Flexible full-timeOccupational group IT & TelecommunicationsClassification AO6Workplace Location Brisbane Inner CityJob ad reference QLD/SPRD580722Closing date 11-Aug-2024Yearly salaryFortnightly salaryTotal remunerationSalary OtherJob duration Until 30 June 2025Contact person Steven KentContact details 0414 762 314Access theThe roleYour key responsibilities:Act as a senior member of a team of online communication professionals, leading initiatives to develop and deliver innovative digital solutions that enhance health outcomes for Queensland health system consumers.Manage a content management system (CMS), preferably Squiz Matrix CMS with Funnelback Enterprise Search.Front end development, including HTML, CSS, SCSS, JS, SSJS, Webpack, Node.js.Forge and maintain relationships with senior management across Queensland Health, including Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), other Queensland Government agencies, and key stakeholders across the health sector.Provide high-level professional advice to the Team Leader, Development on development, web standards, web analytics and tools.Lead the development, design, and maintenance of complex online solutions such as websites, applications, forms, reports/dashboards, databases, scripts, and data visualisation.Coordinate the actioning of day-to-day requests, ensuring multiple deadlines are met by making necessary determinations and instigating actions.Provide technical assistance to the editorial and publishing and digital services streams within Online Services, ensuring their compliance with departmental web publishing standards and resolving information management problems.Proactively identify opportunities for improved services and outcomes through innovative solutions for the management of corporate information and knowledge using contemporary technology.The successful personYou will have demonstrated:Ability to contribute to the technical development of websites built on Queensland Health's enterprise Content Management System (CMS), Squiz Matrix.Extensive experience working with vendors and internal developers to integrate the CMS platform with the front-end design system using templates, implement web design principles to ensure websites render well across multiple devices, test internal and external developers' code and ensure code standards and re-usability are upheld from a design system perspective.Experience managing multiple complex projects within tight timeframes, including the allocation and monitoring of resources.Ability to collaborate, contribute to the positive culture of a team, mentor junior staff, and maintain a customer service mentality.About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
