Our 99,600 employees operate a network of 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Apprentice CNC Machinist to join our team in Toowoomba, QLD. This four-year apprenticeship involves attending Trade School and successfully completing all vocational training to become a qualified machinist. You will perform machining duties on CNC or manually controlled machines as required.Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:Perform fitting and maintenance duties.Carry out machining as per engineering drawings and instructions, meeting production deadlines and reporting any machine or equipment issues.Undertake on site training in all facets of machining as directed by the Plant Foreman or assigned mentor.Attend all specified off site Trade School training as required.Understand and comply with all safety measures required in operation of machines.Completion of product and inspection documentation in accordance with our Quality Management System and corporate policies.Accurate completion of job/time/clocking cards.Travel to our sites and provision of direct assistance as required.Assist when required in performing fitting, maintenance and general hand duties.Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and safe work practices across our operating centres.QualificationsA satisfactory standard of education with a minimum of year 11 achieved successfully.Must possess all appropriate current licences, as required by the company, and where reasonably practicable, to drive and/or operate company vehicles, plant or equipment, relevant to this position.Physical fitness appropriate to the role.Adaptable and flexible attitude.Good communication skills.Additional InformationWHY WORK FOR SGS?Working at SGS means joining an innovative, Global company.
