We are looking for an Electronics Engineer Contractor on a 6- to 12-month contract to support the electronics team to enable Quantum technologies. We may be the right place for you so get in touch!What You’ll AccomplishSupport the hardware system design, and realisation of a complex large-scale electronics control system.Design, build and test electronics products using your skills in analogue and digital circuit design together with industry-standard CAD packages and test equipment.Write the documentation of your electronic circuits and verification tests.Reporting progress and issues to the lead electronics engineer.Help with fast turn-around proof of concepts and feasibility discussions.RequirementsThe 2 Most Critical Attributes We’ll Use to Compare Candidates: * Excellent knowledge of electronics circuit theory and good EM field theory, including noise analysis and physical device knowledge.PCB schematic and layout using CAD tools, good manufacturing process knowledge and excellent verification/debugging skills using electronics test equipment.Must-have Skills:Minimum 4- 8 years of experience in high-performance Electronics Design including Digital, Analog and Embedded.Experience in PCB Design using ECAD (e.g., Altium, or similar).Use of spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and VNA.Demonstrate a strong discipline for thorough documentation.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Team Player.At least 2.1 BEng/BSc Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.Nice-to-have Skills:A background in one of RF engineering, Research, Metrology and instrumentation.Understanding of signal integrity, high-speed digital and EMC.Experience of C and/or scripting languages e.g., python and Matlab.Experience of Labview.Pragmatic approach to decision-making and design choices.Team and/or project management experience.Universal Quantum
