Our recent Ofsted inspection in June 2024 highlighted the strength and innovation in our partnership with agencies across the borough, which is making a significant difference in the lives of children and young people.We offer an excellent ASYE programme for Newly Qualified Social Workers, backed by extensive experience and positive feedback from our Skills for Care Quality Assurance visit. Our supportive and high-quality programme provides a strong foundation, with visible support from senior managers and a robust quality assurance process.Join our Children's Services Directorate to gain in-depth knowledge and skills to improve the lives of children and families in a stimulating learning environment. Our Greenwich Practice Academy offers comprehensive training and support to ensure our workforce has all the tools needed to succeed. The ASYE Plus programme extends support beyond the ASYE year, reflecting our commitment to achieving excellence for children and young people.If you are a talented and motivated newly qualified social worker who shares our values, we want you to be part of our dynamic team! Our ASYE programme is set to begin in November/December 2024. Prior to this we will take on those who have completed/nearing completion of their degree but are yet to be registered with Social Work England, as Children's Social Care Officers (£33,957). Once registered with Social Work England (by June/July) you will work with us as a Newly Qualified Social Worker (£39,951 - £40,833 On successful completion of your ASYE, you will continue to work and gain new skills with us as a Qualified Social Worker. Social Workers can progress through our career grade tiers based on their professional competence and experience.
