That’s what \#LifeAtCummins is all about.We are looking for a talented Trade Assistant to work in our Laverton Workshop. You will provide support to our team of specialist technicians. You will be an integral team member within our busy workshop, supporting our on-highway business and any other support required in the Workshop.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Cleaning, painting, and polishing of engines and associated componentsProviding support to techniciansMaintain work area and tools for cleanliness and remove any hazardsEnsure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues / incidents to your supervisorAssist with completing required documentation, such as work completed documentation and time sheets via handwritten forms or business system input screensComply with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environmentTo be successful in this role you will need the following:Previous experience as a Trade assistant is highly desirable – ideally with a mechanical aptitudeA current Forklift ticket is preferredCurrent & valid drivers’ license requiredAbility to follow repetitive systems/procedures in a labour-intensive environmentBe able to work as part of a team and follow instructionsCompensation and BenefitsMonday to Friday – 7am to 3pmCompetitive hourly rate paid as a permanent salaryOvertime penaltiesSafety equipment / PPE providedUniforms provided and launderedTool allowanceComprehensive Cummins product training providedIncome Protection continuance insuranceDiscounts with select private health insurance, PC software/hardware and a range of vehiclesAnnual remuneration reviewParticipation in an annual variable compensation (bonus) programA range of personal and professional benefitsOnsite parkingEmployee Assistance Program available to employeesPaid Parental leave (Conditions apply)At Cummins, we are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
