301 St Paul street , St. CatherinesOrganization: Labour and Transportation ClusterMinistry: Ministry of Transportation# Business Days: 215.00Note: 3 days onsite per week is requiredMust haves:10+ years of project management on enterprise projects including managing scope, risk, resources, schedules, and costsOracle Database, Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux), and Windows (Server) Operating Platforms,WebLogic and Microsoft IIS Web/Application Servers and Mainframe applicationsDescriptionThe Project Manager/Leader will be responsible for the following activities and deliverables:Assisting project manager(s) with project statements, resource planning, status reporting,and monitoring status of deliverables.Assisting project manager(s) in the identification, preparation and tracking of project change requests, reviewing the requests to ensure all impacts are identified and estimates are reasonableAssist project manager in Stakeholder management, gathering & documenting requirements, documenting the project plan, strategy and implementation plan as per the Ministry standardsCreating and maintaining project schedules (Work Breakdown Structures) using PlanviewCoordinating project meetings (e.g. steering committee, team meetings), including issuing of agendas, scribing minutes and following up on action items with the project teamGenerating and publishing project reporting (status reports with schedule information, milestones, dependencies, issues, risks, change requests, financials, metrics, etc)Preparing project presentations and communications, at the direction of the project manager(s)Ability to document compliance reportManaging overall program/projects budget and expendituresSupporting program/projects orientation for new staff and consultants assigned to the projectTransferring knowledge to designated TSSDB staffRegular review of all actual expenses to budgets, which includes tracking and monitoring of monthly expense accruals, and perform reconciliation of expenditures against budget.Create and maintain a summary report of expenditures for Sr. PM.Assist in the development of Quality Management, Change Management, Issues & Risk Management plans, Communication plan and Project ChartersMonitor project deliverables and documentation for quality and ensure standards are followedReview of current computing and network environmentsEnsure timely communication with various internal and external stakeholders All PM ServicesAgile and waterfall methodologiesCo-ordinate with ITS Project Managers as requiredRelease Management tasks related to the maintenance deliverablesSkill Set RequirementsExperience in Program and Project ManagementManaging multiple concurrent tasks in a multi-tiered application development environment with proven record for meeting strict deadlines by coordinating development/testing, UAT and Production environmentsSelecting and establishing project management methodologiesKnowledge of PCI (Payment Card Industry) Data Security Standards (DSS) compliance Requirements v3.2.1Ideally, shall have experience working on PCI Compliance projects with first-hand knowledgeShall have at minimum five years of experience in conducting pre-site PCI Compliance audits within the Ontario GovernmentExperience working with Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) in obtaining organization PCI Compliance Ideally, experience with MTO business policies and processes as relates to MTO PCI ComplianceDemonstrated ability to develop successful relationships with high level stakeholders including executives and managing 3rd party vendorsEstablishment and/or management of information resource management functions in large or medium sized organizationsManaging the governance, change management and implementation activities associated with large IT projectsExperience in structured methodologies for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of support servicesExcellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; oral and written communication skills; inter-personal and negotiation skillsExperience with Ontario Public Sector (OPS) Architecture standards and Enterprise Architecture Review process.Knowledge of Technical Architecture & experience with OPS gating and checkpoint ProcessesKnowledge of and experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling IT projects schedules, plans and costsDemonstrated experience identifying issues/risks and providing the proper mitigation StrategiesKnowledge of and experience with monitoring and reporting on project progress and delivery using, Planview, Share-Point and Visual Process are optional assetsKnowledge of and experience with maintaining a central repository of project schedules, plans, reporting and deliverablesProject Management Professional (PMP)Experience with OPS Unified I & IT Project Methodology (UPM) and project gating processes.Ability to produce a variety of business documents (in MS Office) that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation (including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio)Demonstrated experience with MS projectExperience with the Ministry of Transportation, Transportation Safety Division architecture applications, database and systems.Experience and Skill Set RequirementsProject Management and technical documentation - 45%10+ years of project management on enterprise projects including managing scope, risk, resources, schedules, and costs10+ years of experience in the creation of project documentationExperience with recommending revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction for published material, existing guides, documentation, and frameworkTechnical Knowledge - 25%Demonstrated knowledge and experience with I&IT Project management frameworksDemonstrated knowledge and experience with the following computing environments:Oracle Database, Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux), and Windows (Server) Operating Platforms,WebLogic and Microsoft IIS Web/Application Servers and Mainframe applicationsTools and process - 25%Experience with the use of tools for the creation, distribution, and maintenance of project documentationExperience with completing a cost-benefit analysisPublic Sector Experience - 5%Experience in working in accordance with policies and procedures of Ontario Public Service would be an assetCleo Consulting
