Are you ready to embark on a career path that combines meticulous attention to detail with cutting-edge technology?We are seeking an experienced Quality Floor Inspector who will undergo training to become a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector, specializing initially in Magnetic Particle Inspection and Florescent Penetrant Inspection.Position: Quality Floor Inspector (NDT Training Opportunity)Department/Classification: Quality / InspectionEmployee Type: HourlyGeneral Summary:As a Quality Floor Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our products. You will be trained to comply with NAS410 and Barron's internal procedure QP4.22 for qualifications and certification of NDT personnel, ultimately becoming proficient in performing system capability checks, equipment setup, interpretation of indications, and evaluation according to applicable standards.Accountabilities:- Directing and performing system capability checks specified in the applicable method requirement.- Setting up equipment, interpreting indications, and evaluating them with reference to applicable standards.- Familiarity with the scope and limitations of the methods.- Organizing, reporting, and maintaining records of NDT inspection results.- Functioning as a Level I Operator.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:- Inspecting work in process for compliance to work instructions, record keeping and AS9100 quality system requirements.- Initiating continuous improvement through AVO's, CAR's, and ECR's.- Participating in continuous improvement efforts such as brainstorming sessions and training programs.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.- Ability to read, understand and follow technical specifications.- Ability to use a wide range of quality/inspection tools and instruments.- Good understanding of safety in a manufacturing environment.- Strong Ethical behavior.- Completion of a training course in the operation of equipment and principles and practical applications necessary for NDT methods.- On-the-job training (530 hours ) conducted under the guidance of a certified Level 3 Examiner and/or Level 2 Inspector.- Familiarity with processing parts to required standards following NAS410 requirements.Join Our Team:If you are passionate about precision, quality, and continuous improvement, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
