Intown Jewish Preschool, a warm Jewish Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool, is currently looking for experienced substitute teachers with a passion for early childhood education. Ideally, we are seeking candidates with Reggio experience who are enthusiastic and passionate about working with young children. However, even if you lack a Reggio background, joining IJP presents an amazing opportunity if you have a genuine love for working with children!Responsibilities:- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity and respect.- Use effective teaching strategies to engage children in learning, including storytelling, music, art, and hands-on activities.- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate classroom activities.Requirements:- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.- Ability to create a safe and supportive learning environment.- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
