Job DescriptionWe are partnering with a new specialist institutional banking group that serves the global asset management industry. Offering a full suite of services and driven by cutting-edge technology they are a key player in the alternative asset management industry.They are now investing in a European expansion with Luxembourg chosen as their headquarters. Their license application is now advanced and they are scheduling a full launch of operations during Q1 2025.Greenfield has been mandated as their exclusive local partner in their efforts to rapidly build their Luxembourg team during the coming months.We are mandated to identify multiple AML/KYC Officers who will be a key part of the first line compliance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proactive, flexibly minded and determined individuals. You will be both regulatory and business minded and will enjoy the pressures of being in a first line role.At its core this is a value creating role; there is the clear desire for the incumbent to play an active and integral role in the organisation’s capacity to roll out its Luxembourg operations.Context:The AML/KYC Officer is part of the Client Onboarding department and reports to the AML Manager. The AML KYC Officer will be responsible for conducting due diligence and ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) regulations. The ideal candidate will perform thorough investigations, maintain accurate records, and support the team in achieving regulatory compliance.The Role:Conduct initial and ongoing AML/KYC due diligence on clients and counterparties.Perform initial and ad hoc and ongoing sanction screening.Perform initial and ongoing AML/KYC due diligence on clients and counterparties in relation to the transactions made by the AIFs.Communicate with clients and support internal/external stakeholders/parties involved in the AML KYC onboarding and review process.Work in close and continuous collaboration with other team members and stakeholders to achieve joint objectives.Responsible for updating the client database of the on-boarding platform and core banking system. This includes collecting the inputs from previous due diligence checks.Escalate blocking issues in timely manner to Management.The Profile:Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in AML and KYC in the Private Equity, Real Estate, Debt, Infrastructure industry, with specific knowledge of local AML/KYC requirements in Luxembourg.High interest in regulatory, Anti-Money Laundering and compliance topics.Knowledge regarding various typology of clients / investors.Strong interest in regulatory and AML/KYC environment.Deep interest and affinity for alternative investments.Sound understanding of local AML regulations, KYC processes, and regulatory requirements.You will have strong communication skills both orally and in written.Pro-active with a positive approach and result driven.Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Proficiency in using AML/KYC software and databases.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Ability to multitask and respond well to shifting prioritisaion of tasks.Fluency in English, both written and spoken; other European languages, French and/or German proficiency would be a definite advantage.Greenfield is a leading Luxembourg based Recruitment and Executive Search Consultancy and has been selected exclusively to fulfill this mandate.Jobs.lu
