Applicants are invited for the position of School Technical Officer (T02, 5 days per week- split 0.5FTE and 0.5FTE across two school settings) to join the teams at Windsor State School (Tues, Thurs & even-week Fri) and Oakleigh State School (Mon, Wed & odd-week Fri). In this role you will manage a fleet of teacher C4T's, a fleet of school owned iPads and support the implementation of 1-1 BYO iPad Programs at both settings. This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis, unless otherwise determined. These schools both have students' achievement in academic, sporting and cultural pursuits, which is testimony to their tenacity and their endeavour to strive for excellence and achieve their personal best.Your Role:As the School Technical Officer you will assist in managing the operation of a school's information and communication technology (ICT) network services in order to contribute to the enhancement of student learning opportunities. The School Technical Officer reports to the Principal/Executive Principal, Business Manager or nominated delegate.Responsibilities incl;ude:Assist in managing the operation of the school ICT network services in order to contribute to the enhancement of learning opportunities.Provide advice and assistance on maximising the potential of ICT operations within the school including acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement.Support the school community with technical advice, instruction and assistance with electronic equipment, in accordance with departmental, school and manufacturer's policy, guidelines and network standards.Our ideal candidate would possess:Technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration and networking peripherals.A high or good level understanding of PC desktop and laptop system, Apple iPads and printer support.Experience with the use of Lightspeed MDM or other platforms as part of BYOx management .Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A strong client focus.Understanding of Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks.The ability to research, identify and apply creative solutions to problems.This is a TO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the TO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the TO3 once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated.
