Read on and say hello!WHO YOU ARE...Excellent analytical & communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environmentThorough knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to the mortgage banking industry (i.e.: TILA, ECOA, RESPA, etc.)Strong appraisal review skillsGreat organizational and customer service skillsExpert knowledge of AUS systems (DU,LP)Ability to underwrite/review complex purchase and refinance transactionsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamA full understanding of recent FNMA/FHLMC underwriting guidelines is requiredMust be conversant with QM and ATR regulationsWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…A thorough review of loan files to determine deficiencies and/or issuesConcise and accurate conditioning of loan filesMeet turn time objectivesAnalyze complex tax returnsCommunicate with the processor and LO in a positive manner in order to assist in moving files to closing as quickly as possibleConcise and accurate input of dataRun AUS and vendor software and analyze the resultsComplete a thoughtful and thorough review and sign off of appraisalsClear conditions as submitted while meeting turn-time objectivesMaintain acceptable quality control metricsAbility to train and mentor peersSupport and work on multiple loans to one borrowerProficient at client operating systemIDEALLY, YOU’LL HAVE...5+ years of current experience in Conventional underwriting.
