This is the opportunity for you!Attractive remuneration package plus an outstanding range of benefits!Supportive team environment with significant opportunities for career progression!About the OrganisationSullivan Nicolaides Pathology is one of the largest pathology practices in Australia, providing comprehensive services to patients and doctors over a geographic area throughout Queensland and New South Wales and employing more than 3,000 people.With many employees enjoying a 20+ tenure, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology delivers on the promise of learning, development, and career progression.Fostering a true culture of support, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology maintains an open-door policy, with each employee playing a role in patient care driven to make sure a top-quality service is provided.About Your Next OpportunitySullivan Nicolaides Pathology has an exciting opportunity for a full-time day Laboratory Scientist position within the Microbiology Department at the Bowen Hills laboratory.This is a full-time position, and the successful applicant will be expected to work shifts between 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.When appropriately trained the successful applicant will also be expected to participate in a rostered weekend, public holiday and on-call roster.The successful candidate will be expected to:Uphold quality standards within the laboratory by adhering to departmental quality system procedures;Comply with the occupational health and safety policy and programs to ensure personal health and safety and the health and safety of others in the workplace;Satisfy the requirements of customers, both internal and external, through the provision of reliable and efficient service levels; andComply with the company’s “Code of Conduct” & “Code of Ethics”.About YouThe successful candidate will ideally have:Appropriate qualifications in medical laboratory science (or equivalent);Demonstrated theoretical knowledge of current microbiology testing practices;Extensive laboratory experience in a microbiology laboratory particularly in the area of microscopy and culture plate reading;Experience in the use of current microbiology instruments and automated analysers;Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team;Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and work methodically and efficiently, whilst adhering to occupational health and safety policies; andAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on customer service.About the Benefits - Perks of the JobYou will be part of a welcoming team of dedicated health professionals with a focus on patient care.
