The role provides support to the maintenance teams with technical expertise to ensure high reliability on critical equipment and is responsible for ensuring that all work is conducted in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner whilst minimising the impact on production and ensuring compliance with Newmont standards and statutory obligations.Using thermographic, hydrocarbon, acoustic and ultrasonic testing, analysis and reporting and collecting and analysing equipment condition data, you will be advising maintenance teams on the most appropriate course for action to ensure equipment is sustainably managed to achieve the required production availability outcomes.Key Accountabilities will includeCoordination and completion of oil analysis, thermographs, UT and other Condition Monitoring Techniques.Provide timely reports and expert advice to customers on suitable courses of action and monitor implementation plans.Maintain the Condition Monitoring Database integrity and the site condition monitoring programs (DINGO tracka).Creation and continuous improvement of the Condition Monitoring Strategies.Develop diagnostic tools to predict equipment and component failures and maximise safety and reliability impact.Coaching, leading and developing other NBG employees on condition monitoring techniques.Provide specialist support on lubrication issues and apply best practices in hydrocarbon management.Assist with the delivery of work systems and procedures to ensure condition monitoring requirements are achieved for the ongoing safe reliable operation and maintenance of equipment.Ensure all works are completed in accordance with safe work procedures and processes.Assist the Maintenance Advisor in identifying and implementing continuous reliability improvements on critical assets including active participation in root cause investigations into equipment failures.Identify and manage external resources for the completion of condition monitoring works.Ensure required compliance documentation is obtained from OEMs and contractors.Promote and adhere to appropriate internal methodologies, reporting standards, policies, procedures and standards.Demonstrate a personnel commitment in regard to safety including timely completion of all necessary reporting, assessments and inspections.Ensure maintenance records are updated and files managed, and all administration functions and tasks associated with the position completed in a timely and efficient manner.Skills, Knowledge & Experience Check ListTrade Qualification or Engineering qualification.Heavy industry plant experience in Lubrication and condition monitoring techniques.Machine Lubrication Technician Level I (ICML)Infrared Thermography – Level 1 (AINDT TT-01)Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 (AINDT EA613)Magnetic Particle Testing level 2 (AINDT EA607)Liquid Penetrant Inspection - Level 2Strong PC skills, computer literacy and SAP knowledgeCurrent Driver’s licenseBenefitsWhen you join Newmont Australia, you are joining an organisation that boasts a working culture we are truly proud of; one of respect, diversity and inclusion.
