Our customers are central to everything we do and we work hard to support them to turn challenges into opportunities which make our customers' property ambitions a reality.We’re looking for great people from all backgrounds and experiences who love working together and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do – and that starts with our brilliantly different team of people.Job DescriptionWe have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our IT function, based from our amazing offices here in Cheadle.This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate IT Security Engineer to work directly with the Cyber Security Manager on cyber security at all levels.This is a hands on technical role requiring a detailed understanding of evolving threat trends and the technical ability to implement, and configure existing security toolsets, and implement new security solutions.The Security Engineer will work closely with next generation technologies utilising machine learning and artificial intelligence.Responsibilities:Implementation, management and maintenance of security toolsetsInvestigation of security events and incidentsResolution of service requests, incidents and problemsIdentification and remediation of vulnerabilitiesIdentification of control gaps and ensuring adherence to best practice and standardsCreation and maintenance of operational procedures, configuration and technical documentationManagement and maintenance of security metrics and reportingMaintaining an awareness of new and emerging security technologies and threatsEnsuring continual development of technical skills through both external and internal training and certificationQualificationsEssential Requirements:Strong knowledge of security technologies, including NGFW, WAF, IPS, EDR, NDR, AV, MDM, MFA, SIEM, email security, patch management, vulnerability management and vulnerability scanningGood knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, virtualisation and network securityExperience working within a regulated environmentExperience following change management and similar ITIL best practiceStrong attention to detailDemonstrable passion and enthusiasm for security, including the ability to keep current with the latest threats, technologies and trendsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical security issues to both non-security and non-technical stakeholdersThe ability to work closely and collaboratively with the cyber security, IT and other teams and also independentlyRelevant certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, Security+, CySA+, GIACAdditional InformationBenefits working at Together26 days holiday, and a day off for your birthday (increasing with service to 30 days), plus bank holidaysBuy & sell holidaysDiscretionary annual bonusOnsite (subsidised) Restaurant (amazing menu!)Matched pension contributionLife assuranceCritical illness coverHealth cash planPrivate medical insuranceFree access to company holiday homesTravel season ticket loansRide to work schemeFree local gym accessLocal bar / restaurant discountsTogether Money embraces diversity and inclusion, and are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
