Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer for a senior level opportunity for a well established client of ours in the Vancouver area. The Sr. Process Engineer will ensure that chemical processing units are in compliance, provide corrective actions if anomalies are detected and make recommendations for modification after identifying areas for improvement.Advantages-Excellent compensation (120-130K plus bonus) and benefits (including pension plan)-Opportunities for career advancementResponsibilities-Prepares process engineering designs, calculations, and reports for various projects-Participate on various special project teams and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external programs, rules and regulations-Participate in implementing standards for measuring and reporting operational reliability as a reflection of operational function effectiveness-Participate in the site P&ID program-Participates in facility shutdowns to assist with inspections and provide a resource when trouble-shooting problems-Attends personal development training-Participate in implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality & production standards in a safe and cost efficient manner-Process Engineering resource for the company to assure the utilization of Good Engineering Practices and proper materials of constructionQualifications-Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering degree from an accredited university with 5-7 years of experience in process engineering and design.-Ability to travel 5% of the time mostly in Canada, but could include the United States-Proficiency in Process design, analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization-Strong knowledge of PSM to guide and initiate/monitor/audit site safety in a chemical process environment.-Demonstrated commitment to employee health and safety.-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsSummaryIf you would like to be considered for this opportunity please forward your resume via email to Nick Paraskeva nick.paraskeva@randstad.caRandstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
