We, embrace individuals with diverse skills, experience and backgrounds, recognising the unique value they bring to CFA.Want to read more about the Country Fire Authority (CFA) click .About the RoleThe Contract Governance & Administration Manager will manage CFA's procurement and contract policies, processes and procedures, shaping the strategic contract management function. This is a new and exciting role at CFA and focuses on enhancing procurement efficiency, compliance, strategic decision-making and risk management. You will provide expertise and solutions for complex procurement and contract issues, serving as the contact point for procurement policy and contract lifecycle support, including contract expirations, adherence to service level agreements and supplier relationship management, in coordination with the Procurement team.Key Responsibilities:Contract Management Framework:Promote and manage the CFA Contract Management Framework.Act as the main contact for procurement and contract inquiries.Provide strategic guidance and resolve complex issues.Ensure understanding and delivery of contract requirements.Implement policies on contract changes, exemptions, extensions and transitions.Notify contract owners of expirations and obligations.Promote best practices for efficient contract administration.Procurement Governance:Manage the Contract Register and Helpdesk inbox.Advise on procurement systems and ensure compliance.Generate reports on procurement KPIs, trends and risks.Serve as executive secretary for Procurement Authority Board meetings.Improve procurement and contract management processes.Monitor and report on risk and contract performance.Maintain and enhance procurement policies and systems.Ensure compliance with CFA and VGPB standards.Consult with and mentor senior team members.About YouOur ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:Bachelor of Business and Business Law or equivalent qualification is Preferred.2-3 years' experience in contract or commercial administration related role, minimum 2 years of experience in asupervisory or leadership position.A proven track record of strong commercial acumenExperience developing and maintaining governance policies, processes, and procedures.Strong understanding of contract law, compliance, and standards, including VGPBProficiency in drafting, reviewing, and complex contracts.Ability to manage multiple contract responsibilities and tasks simultaneously, prioritising workload effectively.Demonstrated ability to analyse contract data, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to communicate effectively between internal teams and external stakeholders, vendors and partners.Experience in generating and presenting detailed reports, utilising reporting tools and analysing data to provide insightsand recommendations.Commitment to implementing best practices and innovative solutions for continuous improvementWhy choose CFAMeaningful Purpose: Your contribution truly makes a differenceWork-Life Balance: Paid parental leave, generous leave provisionsGrowth Opportunities: Learning and developmentFlexibility: Hybrid work options with flexible work arrangementsDiscounts: Emergency Memberlink discounts on various servicesWellbeing Focus: Healthy for Life programs, flu vaccinationsMember Assistance Program: Access support across 8 service pathwaysYour ApplicationClick the 'apply' button to access our online application form.
