Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityThe Physiotherapist reports to the Program Manager and as a member of a clinical team, the physiotherapist collaborates with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participates in the evaluation of team effectiveness, solves problems, and shares responsibilities. The physiotherapist assesses diagnoses and treats patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations or disabilities. The physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers with regard to health promotion, physiotherapy treatment and pain management. The physiotherapist provides supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students, and supervision of physiotherapy assistants and aides.The incumbent may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or acceptable equivalent from a recognized school of PhysiotherapyCurrent registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy AssociationPrevious experience with older adults considered an assetPrevious experience working with individuals with dementia, responsive behaviors and/or cognitive changes considered an assetContinuing education course in area of interest is an assetMaintains current certification in CPREffective communication and interpersonal skillsCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredPlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.HoursPermanent Full-time; 75 hours bi-weeklyCompensation and Incentives$33.97 - $42.89 HourlySuccessful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.Once You've AppliedThank you for your interest in this position.
