The role supports the team supervisor through the provision of day-to-day guidance of local team members and assists in the resolution of more complex issues and review of processes.Key responsibilities will include:Provide high level, detailed, timely and accurate information, advice and support to students, staff and stakeholders within the University policies and procedures framework, guidelines and relevant legislation.Support the team supervisor through the provision of day to day guidance and on the job training to team members, and assist with difficult and complex enquiries/tasks.Collaborate and liaise with Faculties, Schools and Central Administration on specific student and academic administration matters.Prepare written communication on behalf of senior staff members as required.Identify, monitor and report on and escalate risks and issues as appropriate, including thorough investigation of issues and drafting advice and recommendations.Assist in the coordination of the activities within the team to ensure all University deadlines are met.Conduct reviews of procedures and processes ensuring they are fit for purpose and recommend improvements and implement agreed change when required.Review the accuracy of information in University databases, websites and publications.Prepare, analyse and interpret reports from information management systems.Provide secretarial support for meetings, committees and working parties.Represent the Faculty and University at TSXPO, Courses and Careers Days, UQ Expo and other engagement activities.This is a full-time (100%), continuing position.At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $89,861.38 - $96,402.32, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $105,137.81 - $112,790.71 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.About YouCompletion of an undergraduate degree with subsequent relevant experience in student administration or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Demonstrated knowledge of the University’s policies and procedures as they relate to student life cycle from admission to graduation for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.Demonstrated experience in the use of enterprise administration systems to source and record data and deliver reports.Well-developed analytical skills and attention to detail to enable accurate interpretation and advice on a range of complex matters.High level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment.Demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for the provision of excellent client service.High level organisational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines under pressure and work independently and flexibly with minimal supervision.Ability to review procedures and implement change.Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy in written work.An empathy with and ability to communicate with students, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
