The Records Management Representative performs data entry responsibilities, report uploading, billing activities, inbox management, inputting and maintenance of electronic medical records, and performs cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification as required.The Records Management Representative also responds to requests to release patient information coming in from various sources including patients, law firms, insurance companies and other health care providers, ensuring that all requests to release patient information are completed in accordance with the Hospital's guidelines and as required by law.QualificationsCompletion of High School education requiredCompletion of related College diploma and/or certificate (Health Records, Medical Record Management, Medical Office Administration) preferredOne (1) year or more of related experience requiredKnowledge of medical terminology preferredExperience in working with Electronic Medical Records required (Telus Practice Solutions Suite preferred)Exercise initiative and good judgement with the ability to multitaskCompliance with confidentiality requirements under UHN Privacy PolicyAbility to function independently with a high level of attention to detailKnowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies.Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at handAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAdditional InformationWhy join UHN?In addition to working alongside some of the most talented and inspiring healthcare professionals in the world, UHN offers a wide range of benefits, programs and perks.
