We know the projects and services we work on today must deliver for South Australia’s future.The OpportunityThe Regulation Directorate is responsible for driving the Government’s regulation and policy initiatives and ensuring appropriate compliance, behaviour and safe access across our transport networks.The Vehicle Operations Section undertakes varying functions that contribute to this important work including vehicle inspections, vehicle engineering services and standards, delivery of the Vehicle Identity Assessment Station (VIDAS) and Accident Towing.The Tier 3 Supervisor, Vehicle Identity is accountable to the Unit Manager, Vehicle Identity Assessment for leading, supervising and coordinating day-to-day operations of a team of vehicle identity inspectors engaged in repaired written-off vehicle compliance examinations and audits to ensure the agency’s objectives of accessibility, assistance, responsiveness, efficiency, flexibility and fairness are demonstrated in the services provided.The successful candidate will be required to:Undertake high level specialist forensic inspections to assess a vehicle’s correct identity.Provide specialist technical assistance and advice to other areas of DIT and SAPOL.Undertake complex investigations for suspicious documentation and anomalies provided by clients relative to the repair of a damaged vehicle.Respond to both internal and external customer enquiries regarding vehicle identification processes.If you are a dedicated professional with expertise in vehicle regulations, commitment to customer service, and a focus on quality management and teamwork, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.RequirementsDetailed knowledge and expertise with vehicle identity examinations and vehicle structural repair methodologies and manufacturer/industry standards.Special ConditionsPrior to employment with the Department, the successful candidate will be required to provide:A National Police Check (NPC) which is required to be renewed every three years.A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.A current driver’s license for Class C is required.The location is at Kateena Street Regency Park and you will be required to wear the Agency’s uniform that will be provided.Work outside normal hours and inter/intrastate travel necessitating overnight absences is required.RemunerationOPS5 - $80,877 to $86,461 per annumEnquiriesTania ZozukTeam Leader, Vehicle IdentityTelephone: (08) 7133 3328Email: Tania.Zozuk@sa.gov.auApplication InstructionsApplications can be submitted online by clicking the 'Apply' button.Applicants are required to submit a curriculum vitae and a cover letter of no more than two pages addressing the selection criteria in the attached role statement.Our CommitmentThe Department for Infrastructure and Transport is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture across the department, planning for and promoting diversity and culturally safe workplace.
