Drive Jetstar’s Cabin Safety Strategy as a critical leader in operationsCollaborate across the Qantas Group and with regulators to achieve exceptional safety outcomesPermanent full-time job opportunity based in Melbourne (Collingwood Office)As Manager, Cabin Safety & Assurance, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of safety and assurance within the fast paced and dynamic Jetstar Cabin Crew portfolio. Your role will be critical in ensuring the department works collaboratively across the Qantas Group and with external experts to identify and drive continuous improvement and excellence in line with our safety strategy. Ultimately it will be your vision to ensure that Jetstar’s largest people department achieves exceptional outcomes in people and operational safety.Please note you must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for this role.Key Responsibilities:Implement and lead the delivery of Jetstar’s Safety Strategy for the Cabin Crew departmentLead a dedicated team of safety professionals to optimise performance and achieve their potentialEnsure policies, procedures and manuals adhere to regulatory requirements for Cabin CrewOversee Internal Audit Programs to comply with company standards and regulatory requirementsIdentify, act and respond to safety indicators and emerging risks through data analysisCreate and maintain innovative and cost-effective initiatives that improve standards and safetyYou’ll have:Experience in a safety critical role or a leadership role that has critical safety elementsAn understanding of safety management in highly regulated environmentsPeople leadership skills with the ability to drive change and performanceStrong consultation skills and able to interact with all levels of an organisationExcellent communication skills that can develop and maintain strong working relationshipsFamiliarity with Cabin Crew processes, policies, and aviation safety regulatorsA strategic mindset and desire for a hands-on collaborative approachWhy Jetstar?Jetstar is alive with a sense of adventure.
